Boyce, Giacomini, Narlikar, and Powe Elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences
Four UCSF scientists and clinicians—W. Thomas Boyce, MD, Kathleen Giacomini, PhD, Geeta Narlikar, PhD, and Neil Powe, MD, MPH, MBA—have been elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences (AAA&S). Boyce is recognized for his theory on how social stressors affect children differently, while Giacomini’s work advances drug development through the study of membrane transporters. Narlikar’s research focuses on genome organization, and Powe is noted for his contributions to public health and kidney disease research. Their election honors their significant contributions to science and health.
